Early Years
The future cultural figure was born in Edinburgh to an Irish father and a French mother. From a young age, he developed a strong interest in music. This hobby proved to be so serious that the young man later graduated from City St George’s, University of London with a bachelor’s degree in music.Â

Alexander’s professional journey began in earnest in 1996 at The Barbican Centre. This London arts centre hosts a variety of classical and contemporary music concerts, as well as theatre productions, film screenings, and exhibitions. December 2014 offered Poots a new creative flight. He became the founding artistic director and CEO of The Shed. This was the first purpose-built arts centre to be constructed in Manhattan in over 50 years.

North Star Studio Production Hub
